Why is the rose bush in our backyard blooming two different colored roses?

Question by Arya: Why is the rose bush in our backyard blooming two different colored roses?
I believe we bought it originally as a Disneyland rose about two or three years ago and it bloomed a pinkish orange color, but this year the first buds and continuing blooms are a deep red only abut a week ago did a bud form that was the original orange-pink color; however, there are still deep red buds forming still as well.

Why is this happening?

Quite often roses are grafted onto a hearty root stock. If this is the case with your rose the stronger root stock may be taking over. If the “odd” roses are on separate branches remove the branches to keep the Disneyland rose the way you want it.
Other option just enjoy your “two toned” rose bush.
